Reviews

This help guide was written for Simple Review version 2.0.0.

In order to create a review you must have created at least one category.
To create a review:

  1. Click the reviews link from the Simple Review administration page.
  2. Click the new button from the review listing page.
  3. Select the category to place the review in and click the next button.

Review fields:

  • Category: The category to which the review belongs. Changing the category will cause the review to be saved. If you change to a category which has less titles you will loose any data your review has for these overflowing titles. If you change category and choose to use the new categories template you will loose your reviews current content.
  • Award: You can give the review an award.
  • Rating: The reviews rating/score.
  • Titles: Each of the categories titles will be displayed here as a text area. You may expand the text area by clicking the + icon
  • Thumbnail URL: The URL to a thumbnail sized image.
  • Image URL: The URL to a full sized image.
  • Blurb: A small amount of text which can be used for the reviews introduction. You can use Simple Tags.
  • Review: The reviews content. If the reviews category has a template it will initially be displayed here. You can use Simple Tags. In the example above (click the image) you can see that I have used {sr_title1} {sr_title2} {sr_title3} to display the Artist, Album and Year Released. I have used {sr_scoreBox} to display a bordered box containing the reviews score and {sr_blurb} to display the reviews blurb.
