That's currently my default Simple Review page:
http://www.gameworld.gr/index.php?option=com_simple_review&Itemid=120

I can't understand why every time there is an ID at the end of the link (maybe a Joomla issue? but anyway...)

When user clicks on the above link he can only see a "General" category (which has this link: http://www.gameworld.gr/index.php?option=com_simple_review&Itemid=120&category=2-General)

My question is, how can I use this category in a menu so that users can directly go there with a single click? I tried to put a "Direct link" (because Simple-Review Internal link doesn't change) and the result was that we were unable to post comments.

Any ideas?

Implemented / Posting comments with our OWN avatars! (a must see!)
« on: May 27, 2009, 03:21:07 PM »
You definitely NEED to do this!
You should make a bridge between simple-review and phpbb and vbulletin forums (2 options) so that admins can allow users to post comments with their own avatars they have already uploaded in these forums. First try to support these two types of forums, as they are the most common on the web.

Users should have the option to either post comment with their own avatar or use one of the avatars already displayed. These 2 options should be added with bullet buttons.

PLEASE add this feature! It's very important. thanks.

Customization / Issues with Categories [SOLVED]
« on: May 22, 2009, 12:55:53 PM »
I have some problems understanding the way "Categories" work.
I have a game news website and I'm posting game reviews there. I want to be able to view my Reviews page either by viewing ALL reviews or by viewing a specific category.

That's the link I should be using to see all reviews (correct me If I'm wrong):
http://www.gameworld.gr/index.php?option=com_simple_review

The problem is that I want to seperate my reviews into different categories. Inside the Simple-Review Admin there are various categories that I've created. The default category in which I've written all my reviews is "General". The other categories are Racing, Strategy, Sports etc. What I want to do is change the category of some reviews to belong elsewhere but at the same time I want to be able to view ALL reviews at once, using one link. So here are the questions:

1)When I try to change my Review's Category I see these two messages and I need an explanation:
A)Changing the template will cause your review to be saved. If the new category has less titles you will loose the reviews extra ones. Are you sure you wish to proceed? (Less titles? Losing Extra ones? what does this mean anyway?)
B)Do you want to use the newly selected category template?
Warning: Changing the template will erase your reviews current content. Click Cancel to change category and keep your current reviews conent.
(First of all WHICH template do you mean? Also, I'd like to know what content am I going to lose If I choose "OK". I always click on "Cancel" there)

2)After assigning a review to a new category the problem is that I can't see it in the main category. Reviews are always visible here -> http://www.gameworld.gr/index.php?option=com_simple_review , when they are located in the default category. All other reviews belonging to the rest categories are only visible by clicking on the appropriate category. That's very annoying, because every game site has reviews seperated by genre or being viewable alphabetically.

So, can you find me a solution for this? Do I have to use a different link than the above one to see all my reviews located in seperate categories? Or it's just another bug?  :o

Requests / Connecting Simple-Review with Read More in articles
« on: March 25, 2009, 11:20:52 AM »
After writing a review in Simple-Reviews, I always have to announce it on index. So, I'm posting a news item telling my users to read the review here. This looks very bad! Can you please create an option with which we will be able to put our review's link in read more button?

ie. Read more will forward users directly to the review article :)

Can you please add the following fields in your next version? These could be optional, ie. user will be able to add them or not add them to his review
- Year: There is already a "Date" field. I know that. But admins should be able to add a review's year as well, ie. date or year in which the product was launched. Afterwards, visitors should be able to sort product reviews by their date or year they were launched.

- Genre: The genre of the product. Each product might belong to multiple categories. Ex. a game might belong to categories PC, PS3, Xbox 360. A game controller might belong to categories PC, Macintosh. So, admins should be able to add some categories (with descriptions) and then tick these categories through each review to show were the product review belongs. Afterwards, visitors should be able to sort product reviews by their genre or click on a genre and see all the reviews listed on it.

Admin Panel Add-On
Search field in Admin: Important! Admins should be able to find a review through a search field! I have over 500 reviews in my database and I have to search through pages to find them!

Customization / Box appearing on the top right of review [SOLVED]
« on: February 21, 2009, 09:43:38 AM »
In Reviews, there is a thumbnail URL and an Image URL. One of them is used to appear in "Top Reviews", the other one?

I think that one of them should be used to be displayed at the top right of each review when we open it!

This is a very common thing in most reviews program. Check this one for example (phpnuke review module)

Can you please add this to your next release?  :(

I want to change the sentence "Only registered users can post a comment" which appears at the bottom of each review.
Where can I edit that sentence? In which php file?

Thank you.

Customization / Displaying Latest reviews [SOLVED]
« on: January 12, 2009, 04:17:51 PM »
When my users click on "Reviews" they can only see 6 Top Reviews. I want them to see 6 Latest reviews there. How can I do that?
I'm asking this because I have more than 500 reviews in my site. My top reviews are games like Street Fighter, Pirates and Sensible Soccer (more than 10 years old!). Users shouldn't see them for the rest of their lifes.  :(

Hoping for a quick solution

Resolved and Released / Showing fewer reviews

Unfortunately main reviews section can show only up to 100 reviews and each letter's section shows only up to 30 reviews. This is something that you definitely need to fix in the next version!

Resolved and Released / Problem with assigning categories
« on: January 11, 2009, 04:19:40 PM »
I've just created some categories in Reviews section (Sports, Strategy etc.) to categorize my reviews.

When I tried to edit a review and change it's category (ex. put "Sports) I saw this message from the editor:
Fatal error: Class 'SRDB_Template' not found in /home/gameworld.gr/www/v2/administrator/components/com_simple_review/addons/modules/Review_Module/Review_Module.php on line 300
