Users showing their own avatars in comments

Have a look at the comments below:

Users should be able to use their own avatars

I have a big game site and I come across dozens of comments. Ex.
http://www.gameworld.gr/reviews/2/715-God_of_War_3

It would be much better if these users had the avatars they're using on the site. Take notice that Joomla and phpbb are connected databases (using bridges like "jfusion"). So actually the point is to "grab" the avatar they're using in the forum profile and minimize it to the appropriate dimensions. It would be great.

By being Admin for 13 years, I strongly believe that users want their own profile picture, not avatar suggestions. But the avatar system you have can be also used as an option is a user doesn't have his own avatar.

TIP OF THE DAY ? If you're being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then on to a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They're trained for that.

Hello,

What you are asking about is integration between SR and third party extensions - such as forums, social components and user communities. That integration is already on the wish list, aka request list.
The list is at the top of the request forum as it is stickied but you can view it here:
http://simple-review.com/forum/index.php?topic=484.0

The request list is exactly that -requests, not demands, and not a feature tracker. As the developer has time to work on this component and wants to know how he can improve the component for the community the list provides ideas or suggestions. Features and requests are not necessarily worked on in the order of the list.

Integration with other databases is currently in Priority 5 because it is not 'needed' as much as other requests and because it is a lot of work. However, you may like to know that the developer believes integration is tied directly to user reviews and that both are towards the top of the list of features to come next.

Please be patient as there is only 1 developer and he is operating on no income for this project. SR is free and work is done when possible - not on a schedule.
