Unable to fresh install 3.0.13 on 2.5.4-System

Hi,

just downloaded com_simple_review-3.0.13_final_joomla1.5_1.6_1.7_2.5.zip and tried an initial install on joomla 2.5.4 Installing from zip ended up with a whitescreen and no visible success in the adminfrontend. So i unzipped and tried to install from folder. Now i receive messages, that files/folders are missing. It seems, there are lots of entries (especially for folder admin) in simple_review.xml, that are not existing at this location in the zip. So JInstall is searching for /admin/simple_review.php and admin/templates admin/javascript and so on, which in fact are existing in the frontend folder.So i copied some of them, but still have no success, trying to install. Something seems to be wrong - either in the File structure or the template-xml.

Hi,

Perhaps your download got corrupted? I just downloaded SR 3.0.3 and it installed just fine on a fresh Joomla! 2.5.4 site.

For Joomla 1.6+ installs manifest.xml is used and not simple_review.xml.

Hi,

seems, this was in fact the problem - but now it seems, there is a dead entry in one of the db-tables  ("Another menu item with the same parent has this alias Error building Admin Menus")- lucky enough, it's just an xammp-test-environment :-) - ill give it another try.
