Lost Newbie user

Hello,

always a thank you for all creators of free components for Joomla!

i am new and glad was able to find this simple review component as the jReview is damn expensive and not open source.

anyways can someone please help me how to setup my review component Just like the demo which is awesome.

i have installed all the component, modules, & searchbot. i have used the template code from the help section as i do  not know how to make one to get it like the Demo.

how do i get the modules top & latest with in the component template. i mean what position do i put it in.

also the frontend access, i cannot locate the configuration to allow users or moderators to add a review.

any help is great appreciated.

hi,

The template from the demo (i assume you mean sardless.com) is not available, but if you really wanted to use it you would have to look at the generated HTML code. The template on sardless.com is mostly HTML and only uses a few Simple Review tags.

You need to put them in a Joomla position such as left, right, banner, user3 etc. It really depends on your Joomla template as to where these will appear. The modules aren't designed to appear inside the component itself, they meant to appear in your Joomla template.

At the moment there are no user review and I still do not have an ETA, for me there are more important issues which need to be added to Simple Review such as 1.5 native compatibility.

the reason why i as if the the demo template was available is because i dont really understand how to create. im not a coder or not good at understanding things like html stuff.

Hi,

You can sort of do it, but it does not currently support the rating image for things like graphics, gameplay, etc.

Sorry I cannot help you any further if you do not know HTML, it is out of this forums scope.
